Theme Cruises - Part 1 - Music Cruises

Cruising has come a long way since Captain Stubing, Doc, Gopher, and Julie first sailed the seven seas (also known as the Mexican Riviera!). Cruises these days are on bigger ships, that have more things than ever to do on them, and they also have themes. Themes you ask? What kind of themes? Well, many different themes, so in this post I'll cover music themed cruises, and then tomorrow other themes.

There are many different types of music themed cruises out there. There are:

Cruises by ETA Cruises include in August this year, a banjo and guitar workshop cruise, and a later after that a Blue Grass cruise.

Speaking of music, Sammy Hagar just had his second Cabo Wabo cruise, but it's still not to sign up for a cruise with Lynyrd Skynyrd, take Vince Neil's Motley Cruise, board the Rock Boat cruise (with Sister Hazel, Toad the Wet Sprocket, and others), to name just a few of the ones out there.

Perhaps secular music isn't quite your cup of tea and you'd like to go on a Christian music cruise. Well, in November 15-19, 2007 will give you the "Girl's Get-A-Way" cruise, with Point of Grace and others; and January 28-February 1st, 2008, there's K-LOVE's Friends and Family Cruise, which includes MercyMe, Jeremy Camp, Superchick, Big Daddy Weave, Salvador, and many many more on it; and from February 24 - March 2nd, 2008, there's Kathy Troccoli and Friends, which includes Sandi Patty, Selah, Phillips Craig and Dean, and others.

Just in case contemporary music's not to your liking, there's also some classical music concerts this summer and fall, including: British and American Music and Culture. Cunard Line's Queen Mary 2, Big Band Sounds - MSC Cruises' Opera and Classical Music: Concerts, Lectures - MSC Cruises' Melody to name just a few.

So whichever your music preference, consider a theme cruise. You'll meet people who share the same likes and dislikes as you, and you'll bond and make friends instantly!
