Look! Up In The Sky! It's A Bird! It's A Plane! It's The Superman Celebration!

With last Saturday being free comic book day across the nation, I was reminded about the 29th Annual Celebration of the Man of Steel - Superman!
From June 7-10 of this year, the town of Metropolis, Il. (situated on Interstate 24 halfway between Nashville, Tennessee and St. Louis, Missouri) will hold its 29th Annual Superman Celebration. If you read the comic books, you'll know that Metropolis was where Superman lived and worked at the Daily Planet. This year's celebration will include such fun events as a costume contest (with 1st place receiving $1000 and second $500!), and celebrity guests such as Helen Slater (who played Supergirl in the movie), Noel Neill (who played Lois Lane in the TV show), as well as several former and current Superman (the comic book) writers and artists. The celebration will also fan films, documentaries and much more!
